Why Yin Yang?
“There is no light without darkness - there is no photography without light”.
Being an international company with UK roots and a Spanish home it was important to choose our name wisely. As well as the symbolism of balance, harmony, movement and dualism, Yin Yang is internationally recognised and has no deviation in its spelling, pronunciation or meaning across the globe.
The symbol is called the Taijitu or T’aichi and originates from the I Ching, an ancient chinese book that dates back 5000 years. The central curving line is derived from the path the sun makes throughout 365.25 days, beginning at the top with the Summer Solstice and ending at the bottom with the Winter Solstice.
